I had success at first (the first month) and since then I cant connect via iphone. By connecting IntelliTouch ScreenLogic to your existing home network you will be able to take advantage of weather forecast information and current weather conditions in your area. I tried restarting the EasyTouch and SL systems - no fix. I have a Pentair Easytouch panel and am using a Pentair Screenlogic protocol adapter to control via iphone app. It's only the remote access that is problematic. All established timers and buttons work fine.

BTW, the EasyTouch 8 is fully functional. I also don't know if it is at all related to the recent rain, as I haven't use the spa in a week or two.

What I have done in extreme situations is disconnect my PC from the network, connect it directly to the device with a 'crossover' cable (or hook both devices to a switch that is not connected to anything else), and give. I suspect the problem lies in the interface between SL and the EasyTouch 8 system but just guessing. Alas, a brief Google search did not turn up information about 'Pentair Protocol Adapter'. I had success at first (the first month) and since then I can't connect via iphone. I've tried the ScreenLogic on my OSX desktop, as opposed to iOS device, and same thing - it appears to see the pool (no error on connecting) but no commands work. I have a Pentair Easytouch panel and am using a Pentair Screenlogic protocol adapter to control via iphone app. I also get no reading on pool/air temperature. The iOS app loads and establishes a connection with the pool, but pressing buttons to turn the pump, spa, lights, etc on all fail - the app APPEARS to have established the connection but nothing happens pool side. I tried to use SL right after that storm to start up the spa last night and it failed. We here in San Diego had a decent amount of rain for about a 24 hour period.
PENTAIR SCREENLOGIC NOT CONNECTING UPGRADE
All in all, very simple to install, and a great upgrade from the original pentair wireless controller as now I can start the spa heating before we get home and when we arrive, it's heated.Been using Pentair's ScreenLogic to control my pool and spa (all Pentair equipment) for almost a year, no problem. You can connect from your home network, or while away from home with a quick toggle on the logon screen - mine worked flawlessly from the start. The PC based application does show what features are waiting on a programmed delay, just not the mobile app (at least yet). It took me a while to realize if you turn on a feature or function that normally has a delay associated with it, the app doesn't really give you feedback - but once the delay completes the feature or equipment will engage. From there, it will connect, and the interface is reasonably self explanatory. ScreenLogic2 Interface Bundle allows you to control the key functions of. The first time you run the application, you will need to logon using a number printed on the side of the box you plugged to your home wifi router. Next, you need to download the app for your phone/tablet. It automatically connected to the pool control panel, downloaded the panels configuration, and was ready to go. Once the wireless kit was connected to the router, the system was powered on. Note, your wifi signal has to be strong enough to reach the antenna you just mounted at the pool control panel for this work - otherwise you'll have to try and run a hard wire from your house to the pool - I didn't have to. The two boxes connect together with a provided wire, then connect to the wifi router with a cat5 or cat6 cable, and plug into the wall for power.

You then head inside the house and install two small boxes to your primary internet connection. Since I had a previous antenna, it was very easy to remove and install in the same position. You mount the provided wireless system board in the provided antenna casing, and plug into your control panel. I had to install the updated kit which took about 3 minutes. The old remote had a wireless kit installed on the pool control panel. Verify the wiring to the protocol adapter and IntelliTouch Load Center. You canunplug and plug back in the wireless router to reset it. (I found it a little missleading that the picture shows the wireless remote - it isn't part of what you are puchasing with this kit, but it isn't required either). Also Know, how do I reset my Pentair protocol adapter You can use a paper clip to reset the Protocol Adapter by pressing the recessed reset button. When the wireless remote (like the one in the picture) stopped working, and I chose to move to a mobile app based solution instead. Let me start by saying I had an existing pentair remote system installed for my pool already.
